Dent May will release a new album, The Big One, on August 14 through Carpark. The title track has been shared, and a US tour has been announced. The album and song title reference a long-anticipated natural disaster that may or may not arrive to destroy the world, while the song focuses on personal life-altering moments that push someone out of comfort. The biggest such moment is death, alongside smaller moments that force awareness of life’s temporary nature. The song asks whether someone will be okay when everything will eventually come crashing down. A video for “The Big One,” directed by Ambar Navarro, is available. The tour begins September 11 in Los Angeles and includes stops such as New York on October 28.
