Tori Amos details new LP 'In Times of Dragons,' announces US tour
"After announcing late last year that she had a new album on the way, Tori Amos has revealed more details of In Times of Dragons. It's the follow up to 2021's Ocean to Ocean, and last year's soundtrack to her children's book Tori and the Muses, and it's due out May 1 via Universal/Fontana. You can see the cover art, created by photographer Kasia Wozniak and stylist Karen Binns, below."
"Tori also announced a US summer tour, which will have her joined by regular bandmates Jon Evans and Ash Soan, as well as backing singers Liv Gibson, Deni Hlavinka and Hadley Kennary. See all dates below. The NYC shows are on July 24 and 25 at Beacon Theatre. Tickets for those and all dates go on sale Friday, January 23 at 10 AM local, with an artist presale starting Wednesday, January 21 at 10 AM local."
Tori Amos will release In Times of Dragons on May 1 via Universal/Fontana. The album follows 2021's Ocean to Ocean and last year's soundtrack to her children's book Tori and the Muses. Amos describes In Times of Dragons as a metaphorical story about the fight for Democracy over Tyranny and calls out what she terms the 'Dictator believing Lizard Demons' in their usurpation of America. The cover art was created by photographer Kasia Wozniak and stylist Karen Binns. A US summer tour will include Jon Evans, Ash Soan, and backing singers Liv Gibson, Deni Hlavinka and Hadley Kennary, with NYC dates at Beacon Theatre July 24–25 and tickets on sale January 23.
