Lonna Drewes accused Rep. Eric Swalwell of drugging and raping her during a press conference in Los Angeles. She met Swalwell in 2018 and believed he was a friend. On the third meeting, she alleged he sexually assaulted her in a hotel room after incapacitating her. Drewes documented the effects of the assault and discussed it with a therapy group. She stated the incident severely impacted her mental health. Drewes plans to file a police report regarding the alleged rape, following another woman's accusations against Swalwell.
