Mushrooms sold at retailers nationwide are being recalled due to Listeria contamination fears

The FDA has issued a recall notice for Enoki Mushrooms from Harvest NYC Inc. after contamination with the potentially deadly bacterium Listeria monocytogenes was found in a sample. Initiated on April 16, the recall affects a 200g green plastic packaged product sold nationwide. Harvest NYC was prompted to recall the mushrooms after the New York State Department of Agriculture detected the bacteria.
