The FDA has issued a recall notice for Enoki Mushrooms from Harvest NYC Inc. after contamination with the potentially deadly bacterium Listeria monocytogenes was found in a sample. Initiated on April 16, the recall affects a 200g green plastic packaged product sold nationwide. Harvest NYC was prompted to recall the mushrooms after the New York State Department of Agriculture detected the bacteria. Consumers are urged to dispose of the recalled product sold between January 11 and January 31, 2025, as Listeria can cause severe illness, particularly in vulnerable populations.
