Golden Goose launched its new flagship store in NYC's Meatpacking District, transforming a standard retail space into an immersive shopping experience. The store emphasizes customization through a "co-creation bar," allowing customers to create unique footwear with diverse embellishments. Unique NYC-themed items like shoelaces and souvenirs add local charm. The store's design honors the area's artisanal history, merging raw industrial elements with warm, vintage decor. CEO Silvia Merati stated that the location reflects a history of craftsmanship and community, aligning with the brand's values of individuality and innovation.
We chose the Meatpacking area because historically, it was full of handcrafted businesses-people worked with their hands, like the meat butchers here. Then, it became a community.
All in all, though, the store is designed to show love to the craftsmen and artisans who built the Meatpacking District from the ground up.
The shop features a "co-creation bar" where customers can customize products and a bespoke sneaker program that allows them to bedazzle shoes.
Customers can find personalized wrapping options and seasonal treats like coffee, sweet delicacies and fresh flowers from the Con Amore Cart.
