Sean "Diddy" Combs is facing serious legal troubles with a superseding indictment that adds new sex trafficking charges to previous counts, including racketeering. Prosecutors allege that Combs exploited his business network to sexually exploit victims in events termed 'freak-offs,' involving drug use and coercion. Claims indicate that sex workers were transported across state lines for these gatherings, while his associates aided in the illegal activities. The indictment accuses him of abusing power, employing violence, and maintaining secrecy around these acts.
"Combs did not do this all on his own," Damian Williams, the U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York, said in announcing the charges last year. "He used his business and employees of that business and other close associates to get his way."
The indictment alleges Combs and his associates transported sex workers across state lines for encounters, which were allegedly recorded at times. Some victims, the indictment states, were given IV fluids to recover.
