Jovino Santos Neto, a renowned Brazilian musician, delighted audiences at the Feb. 26 Portland show with his energetic performance, blending spontaneity and deep musicality. Although the church venue wasn’t packed, the audience showed enthusiasm, dancing and cheering. Jovino, who showcased his versatility by seamlessly switching instruments, led a tight quintet of musicians from Seattle.
