The Feelies celebrating 50th anniversary with 2 NJ shows (only 2026 dates)
"The Feelies don't really tour, and it's even rarer to find them playing outside of the East Coast. Fans fly from all over the world to their shows, which are usually marathon sets that include lots of covers alongside their own classics."
"Friday, May 22 will have them playing their 1986 album, The Good Earth, in full alongside lots of other songs in honor of its 40th anniversary, and will also feature a tribute to filmmaker Jonathan Demme, whose breakthrough Something Wild (which The Feelies are in) also turns 40 this year."
The Feelies, a legendary New Jersey band, are marking their 50th anniversary with two exclusive live performances at White Eagle Hall in Jersey City on May 22 and 23, 2026. These represent their only scheduled shows for the year. The Friday show will feature a complete performance of their 1986 album The Good Earth alongside additional songs, celebrating its 40th anniversary, and will include a tribute to filmmaker Jonathan Demme, whose 1986 film Something Wild also reaches its 40th anniversary and features the band. Saturday's performance will showcase their debut album Crazy Rhythms played in full with other favorites. Tickets for individual nights and two-day passes became available March 4. The band rarely tours and seldom performs outside the East Coast, making these shows particularly significant for their dedicated fanbase.
