Three talented musicians from the Portland area, including Beaverton's violinist Katie Liu, have been selected to represent Oregon in the National Youth Orchestra of the United States of America (NYO-USA). Under the direction of renowned conductor Gianandrea Noseda, the orchestra will perform at Carnegie Hall and embark on a six-city tour across Asia, featuring performances in Tokyo, Osaka, Hong Kong, Beijing, Shanghai, and Seoul. The selected musicians will participate in a rigorous two-week training program at Purchase College, SUNY, before their performances in July.
