
"Officers responded around 4:30 p.m. Monday for a medical assist call after a child was found on the ground at an apartment near City Centre Drive and Duke of York Boulevard. They received reports that the child possibly fell from an apartment balcony, said Peel police in an email statement Wednesday."
"Peel paramedics said the child was taken to hospital in life-threatening condition after falling from an unknown height. The child later died in hospital, said police. Investigators are continuing to look into the active and sensitive case, said Peel police."
Peel police responded to a medical assist call around 4:30 p.m. Monday at an apartment near City Centre Drive and Duke of York Boulevard in Mississauga after a child was found on the ground. Reports indicated the child possibly fell from an apartment balcony from an unknown height. Paramedics transported the child to hospital in life-threatening condition. The four-year-old subsequently died in hospital. Peel police are continuing their investigation into the case, which they describe as active and sensitive.
