2 men fatally shot in Hell's Kitchen and Chelsea, NYPD says
Briefly

On a recent Wednesday night, two men were killed in separate shootings in Manhattan's Hell's Kitchen and Chelsea neighborhoods, which have seen a significant decline in homicides this year. Marco Reyes, 30, was shot in the head around 10:45 PM near the Port Authority Bus Terminal. Earlier, Raqiese Cohen, 21, was shot in the neck outside the Fulton Houses. Both victims were transported to Bellevue Hospital but did not survive. Law enforcement has not made any arrests in either case, raising concerns in these usually safe precincts.
According to NYPD officials, 30-year-old Bronx resident Marco Reyes was fatally shot on the street on West 42nd Street between Eighth and Ninth avenues, down the block from the Port Authority Bus Terminal, around 10:45 p.m.
Less than two hours earlier, around 9:20 p.m., officers responded to a 911 call for an assault outside a building at NYCHA's Fulton Houses, on West 17th Street between Ninth and 10th avenues.
