A Bronx woman, aged 32, experienced a near-fatal assassination attempt in broad daylight while walking home from work. A man approached her, pointed a gun at her head, and fired as she turned her head, narrowly missing her. The terrifying incident occurred in front of a pharmacy on May 9. Although the bullet missed, the victim suffered an injury from falling to the ground. Now, she lives in fear and uncertainty, grappling with the trauma of the event and the unknown reason behind the attack.
I was walking home from work, and somebody ran up behind me and tried to shoot me in my head, the victim recounted.
It's terrifying, very much so. I've been trying to deal with it kind of hard to deal with it, you know?
