NYC budget expected to include $2 billion for affordable housing. Here are the details.

A joint press release announced $58 million to city library systems, $53 million to cultural institutions, and $2 billion additional funds for affordable housing over two fiscal years.

Approximately $1.3 billion will go to HPD, with $792 million for multi-family buildings, $150 million for homeownership, and $278 million for supportive housing.

NYCHA will receive $700 million to preserve and renovate public housing, distributed over the 2025 and 2026 fiscal years.
