A person was fatally struck by a subway train in the Bronx at the 149 Street-Grand Concourse Station early Thursday morning. Responding to a 911 call around 7:30 a.m., law enforcement found a deceased individual on the tracks as MTA personnel addressed the situation. Service on the 2 and 3 subway lines faced major delays as police and rescue teams worked on-site. Power had to be turned off before rescue teams went inside the train tunnel to assist with the incident at Park Place station.
