The Brodsky Organization has filed a rezoning application for a 60-unit condo project in the Flatiron Building, aiming for completion by 2026 without major facade changes.
The century-old Flatiron Building, auctioned last spring, faced challenges with ownership and now focuses on a residential conversion with GFP Real Estate and Sorgente Group.
Despite not benefiting from the city's push for office-to-residential conversions, Brodsky and partners are proceeding with plans thanks to a newly created tax incentive.
The developers anticipate updates primarily to the building's interior, with a 5,000-square-foot retail space planned on the ground floor.
