Eco Material Technologies has officially launched a new rail terminal in Blissville, promoting its sustainable cement alternatives by facilitating the delivery of fly ash to New York City. This marks the company's first significant operation in the city, aiming to provide about 50,000 tons of fly ash annually which is a more eco-friendly substitute to traditional Portland cement. Utilizing rail infrastructure from New York & Atlantic Railway, the terminal will play a crucial role in reducing carbon emissions associated with cement production.
As the largest marketer and distributor of fly ash in the United States, Eco Material can now transport this material directly to New York City via rail.
The Blissville Terminal marks Eco Material's first major footprint in the city, enabling the company to distribute approximately 50,000 tons of harvested fly ash annually.
