Who Will Replace Elon Musk as the Leader of DOGE?
Briefly

Following the exit of Elon Musk and Steve Davis from the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), discussions have intensified regarding the new leadership. Joe Gebbia, a close associate of Musk and co-founder of Airbnb, was initially considered for the role but has expressed reluctance to lead alone due to the scrutiny tied to the position. The current direction appears to favor the establishment of a council of advisers, which may include Gebbia and Anthony Armstrong, to jointly oversee the operations of DOGE.
Debate about who should take charge of the Department of Government Efficiency has spread through the White House, DOGE and Silicon Valley.
Mr. Gebbia began telling others that he was not interested in a role in which he alone would lead DOGE, due to the intense scrutiny.
The current plan is for a small council of advisers, including Mr. Gebbia, to oversee DOGE, expressing interest in this broader leadership team.
Anthony Armstrong, previously at Morgan Stanley, could join this leadership group, having worked on Mr. Musk's Twitter deal.
