Jalen Hurts was named Super Bowl MVP after leading the Philadelphia Eagles to a decisive 40-22 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. He delivered an impressive performance, completing 17 of 22 passes for 221 yards, securing two touchdowns and rushing for another 72 yards. This victory marked several records, including Hurts being the first NFL player with five passing touchdowns and five rushing touchdowns in one postseason. Additionally, he set the mark for most rushing yards by a quarterback in a Super Bowl, further solidifying his place in NFL history.
"God is good. ... I couldn't be here without my teammates, the effort and determination everybody displayed to get to this point," Hurts said after the win.
He became the first player in NFL history to have at least five passing touchdowns and five rushing touchdowns in a single postseason.
Hurts is now the only quarterback with multiple 50-yard rushing games in the Super Bowl.
He also holds the record for most rushing yards by a quarterback in a Super Bowl, breaking his own record of 70 yards previously set in Super Bowl LVII.
