Harbaugh: Lamar practice miscue 'honest mistake'
"BALTIMORE -- After Sunday's 30-16 win over the Chicago Bears, coach John Harbaugh called the Baltimore Ravens' violation of the NFL's injury report policy regarding Lamar Jackson "an honest mistake." The Ravens could be subject to discipline by the league because they originally listed Jackson as a full participant in Friday's practice when he only ran the scout team. Baltimore then changed Jackson's practice participation to limited Saturday while also ruling him out because of a right hamstring injury."

Baltimore initially listed Lamar Jackson as a full participant in Friday's practice despite him only running the scout team, then changed his designation to limited and ruled him out with a right hamstring injury. The organization characterized the misreporting as an honest mistake and denied any intent to gain an advantage. Jackson had been limited earlier in the week, and the Friday upgrade suggested he might play. The team noted that Jackson did the same number of reps but received no snaps with the first-team offense. Athletic trainers and public relations staff handled practice participation designations.
