The New York Police Department has released surveillance images of a suspect wanted in connection with the shooting, which took place at approximately 2:06 a.m. Sunday in front of 156 West 38 St. in the Midtown South precinct."
"According to the NYPD, the suspect fled on foot traveling eastbound on West 38 St. Emergency medical services responded to the incident, the police said, and transported a 29-year-old male victim to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue in critical but stable condition. The office of New York Mayor Eric Adams was one of the first to identify Boyd as the victim. "I am praying for New York Jets player Kris Boyd and his loved ones," Adams wrote Sunday on social media."
New York Jets cornerback Kris Boyd, 29, was shot in the abdomen outside a Midtown restaurant at approximately 2:06 a.m. Sunday in front of 156 West 38 St. The NYPD released surveillance images and described a male suspect of medium complexion last seen wearing a black cap, black sweatshirt, black pants, multi-colored sneakers and carrying a black bookbag. The suspect fled on foot traveling eastbound on West 38 St. Emergency medical services transported Boyd to NYC Health and Hospitals/Bellevue in critical but stable condition. Mayor Eric Adams and teammates offered prayers, and the Jets declined further comment. Boyd had been on injured reserve with a shoulder injury.
