""There's two different ways he can go about it," Glenn said. "He could rehab this ... or he could have surgery and get it cleaned up. But the rehab time will be exactly the same. That will be a decision him and his agent will have to make. I'm not making that decision.""
""a pretty serious knee injury,""
Braelon Allen was placed on injured reserve Thursday after suffering a knee injury while returning a kickoff. Coach Aaron Glenn said Allen will be sidelined eight to 12 weeks and is deciding whether to undergo surgery for a suspected MCL injury. Glenn indicated rehab or surgery are options and that Allen and his agent will make the decision. The best-case timeline is an early-December return, though Allen could miss the remainder of the season. Allen, the Jets' primary power back for short-yardage and goal-line situations, has 76 yards on 18 rushes. Isaiah Davis will move up to No. 2 running back, and Kene Nwangwu's availability is uncertain due to a hamstring issue. The Jets are 0-4 and rank third in rushing as a team.
