Lapierre has been up with the Capitals since making the team out of training camp. He will join the Bears for the first time since powering Hershey to their second consecutive Calder Cup as AHL playoff MVP last spring.
Head coach Spencer Carbery has noted that Lapierre is a young player with a bright future, understanding that sometimes it takes longer for players to develop into effective NHL players.
