NY Rangers Fan Confidence Poll-October 13, 2025: The goalies reign supreme - Blue Seat Blogs
"The Rangers split opening week with wins in Buffalo and Pittsburgh, but losing both at home to Washington and Pittsburgh. In this week's Patreon post (subscribe here!), Dave talked the slow start expected from the Rangers, especially with injuries mounting. Live From the Blue Seats talked the Rangers first two games, what went right, what went wrong, and what to expect going forward."
"The Rangers have minimal expectations, but there are still plenty of other reasons to watch them this year, as there's an air of optimism for this club. It's been 4 games, and the Rangers lost two starters in Vincent Trocheck and Carson Soucy for multiple weeks. Managing the Trocheck injury is going to get tricky, as the Rangers lack offensive depth."
Record stands at 2-2-0 (4th in Metro) after split results with wins in Buffalo and Pittsburgh and losses at home to Washington and Pittsburgh. Upcoming games include 10/14 vs EDM, 10/16 @ TOR, and 10/18 @ MTL. Two starters, Vincent Trocheck and Carson Soucy, are out for multiple weeks, creating offensive depth challenges and exacerbating left-defense issues. Vlad Gavrikov provides stabilization on the top pair, but management decisions may be required to address the defense. Optimism surrounds the roster despite modest expectations. Additional commentary appeared on Patreon and Live From the Blue Seats, and a Fan Confidence Poll is requested.
