Your preseason predictions were very bad (and that's very good)
Briefly

The Capitals are outperforming expectations with a 99.4% chance of making the playoffs, currently on pace for 116 standings points, the best in the league.
Ovechkin's scoring is affected by missing 16 games. Despite some predictions, he may reach only 902 goals this season, falling short of Gretzky.
Predictions for the Caps were generally underestimated as fans expected around 95.6 standings points, but the team has significantly exceeded that figure.
It's notable that I initially predicted the Caps would miss the playoffs at 89 points, and I'm pleased to have been terribly wrong.
