"Layden has a bright future ahead of him," said fellow offensive lineman Michael Onwenu. "He played a good game. He was very physical. I don't know how many knockdowns he had, but he probably had plus-5 finishes. And just being aggressive in the run game, being stout in the pass game. I'm happy to watch him, and I'm happy to play next to him."
Onwenu and Robinson formed a strong duo on the right side of the Patriots' offensive line versus the Cincinnati Bengals. Not only did they generate a significant push on Rhamondre Stevenson's 3-yard touchdown run in the second quarter, they opened up holes all day.
In total, the running back gained 80 of his 120 rushing yards when going to his right. Stevenson averaged 5.3 yards per carry on that side of the line of scrimmage. Robinson was not the only player responsible for that - a successful running game depends on multiple factors - but a key piece nonetheless.
