Patriots offensive assistant coach to reportedly take on defensive coaching role
Briefly

Former Giants head coach Ben McAdoo is set to stay with the New England Patriots coaching staff as they navigate a leadership transition under head coach Mike Vrabel. McAdoo will switch from his current offensive role to a defensive position in 2025, despite having no prior official experience on that side of the ball. His change comes after a year with the Panthers as offensive coordinator and a variety of roles in his coaching career, which has predominantly focused on offense.
"He does a little bit of everything in my eyes. He helps the O-line out, helps the running backs out. He's an assistant offensive coach."
"He knows the scheme. He teaches the scheme and things like that - spacing on routes and those kinds of things."
