NYCFC introduced a five-story inflatable pigeon named the "Five Borough Flight" as a tribute to New York City. This 700-pound bird embarked on a journey down the Hudson River, highlighting various iconic locations. The campaign coincides with the FIFA Club World Cup, emphasizing NYCFC’s pride in representing the city. The pigeon symbolizes the strong connection between New Yorkers and their club, while also marking the planned construction of a new stadium. The creative studio Tavern designed this installation to capture attention and celebrate the city's identity.
"The pigeon is a tribute to the city that shaped us and a signal that the future of soccer is here in New York City," said Lauren Scrima, the vice-president of marketing at NYCFC.
"Our goal was to create something impossible to ignore," Perry added.
