The shooting occurred on March 10, 2023, inside 1690 E 174th St. in the Soundview section of the Bronx. The victim, 33-year-old Brooklyn native Trevor Roberts, was shot in the chest and later died at the hospital. Police arrested 19-year-old Thomas Padilla of the Bronx Tuesday evening and charged him with multiple counts, including murder; Padilla was about 16 or 17 at the time of the incident. Authorities continue to search for two other men and released images of the persons sought. Neighbors expressed concerns about teen gun violence and urged investigation into gun sources and home environments. Tips can be submitted to Crime Stoppers.
