Group of 7 creeps emerge from NYC sewer manhole in bizarre scene, NYPD launches probe
The incident occurred around 2 a.m. Friday near Gravesend on McDonald Avenue in Brooklyn. Footage shows one person lifting a manhole cover and stashing it on the curb between parked cars. Additional people emerged with flashlights until seven were milling in the roadway. Several wore waders and boots, then stripped off filthy clothes on the sidewalk and loaded items into three waiting cars. NYPD investigators later pulled a masked officer in brown-stained white coveralls from the ground after searching the sewer. Police reported no arrests were made.
