He was arrested after being questioned inside the precinct's station house."
"After receiving a 911 call about the incident, officers from the 43rd Precinct arrived on scene to find 38-year-old Gregory Stewart, of Barnes Avenue in Wakefield, inside the stairwell with a gunshot wound to the head. EMS rushed him to NYC Health+Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead. Police immediately took into custody a person of interest, although it is not yet clear if that person was Grant."

The previous 12-day murder-less span happened a decade ago, in 2015. EMS transported Stewart to NYC Health+Hospitals/Jacobi, where he was pronounced dead. A person of interest was taken into custody at the scene. The motive remains under investigation. The shooting ended a 12-day citywide stretch without a homicide.
