A serious house fire in Dungannon resulted in twelve people being treated at a hospital. A child was seen in a distressing situation during the blaze. A 37-year-old man and a 70-year-old woman are critically injured, while the children are stable. Eight police officers suffered smoke inhalation while rescuing residents. A 21-year-old suspect was arrested after being found on the roof. Authorities confirmed the fire was deliberately set, with Deputy Chief Constable Bobby Singleton expressing concern over the ruthless act. Thankfully, those affected reported they’re recovering in the hospital.
It's hard to comprehend the mindless cruelty of this act, and the panic and fear caused to those in the home.
I have spoken to the family this morning. They are in hospital but they have told me they are okay, so that was good to hear.
