The reporter on the scene in Manhattan remarked that the car lanes to her right were relatively cleared of snow, but the bike lanes to her left weren't. The Sanitation Department in 2023 pledged to blow bike lanes on the same timeline as car lanes, but that did not seem to be the case on Saturday night."

Several cyclists, appearing to be delivery workers, rode in bike lanes or in general traffic to navigate the conditions. Some bike lanes, including Prospect Park West, were cleared by the middle of the next day. Residential streets often received a single car-width travel lane, pushing cyclists into the cleared travel lane to avoid accumulated snow and slush. Painted bike lanes frequently remained full of slush and hazardous into Sunday night.
