Det. Alicia Stone, 40, a 13-year NYPD veteran assigned to the Internal Affairs Bureau and mother of three, was found unresponsive in her hotel room in Cali and rushed to Fundación Valle del Lili Hospital, where she was pronounced dead about an hour later. Her cause of death was listed as "unspecified cardiac arrest." She had undergone liposuction and a gluteal fat transfer on Oct. 16 and was taking anticoagulants and pain medication while recovering at a hotel. Her husband said he will request an autopsy and an investigation into the circumstances of her sudden death.
