
"A crazed woman poured scorching-hot cooking oil on a man in a Brooklyn home, leaving him with burns so severe that investigators are having trouble communicating with him, cops and sources said Friday. The gruesome attack took place near East 94th Street and Winthrop Street in Brownsville around 5:20 a.m. Oct. 15 when the woman, who appears to be in her 30s, assaulted the 38-year-old man with the burning grease, according to authorities."
"The pair were in "some sort of relationship," a police source said. The victim suffered severe burns, including damage to his chest, arms and legs, cops said. He was taken to Staten Island University Hospital in critical, but stable condition, while the woman fled on foot, the NYPD said. The assault happened in Brownsville.
