Officers from the 84th Precinct found the victim severely beaten, unconscious and unresponsive; EMS rushed the victim to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital in critical condition, where he was later pronounced dead. Transit officers arrested a suspect around 10 p.m. in a Times Square station after recognizing him from surveillance photos sent in an NYPD emergency alert. The suspect's name and charges have not been released; the investigation continues.
