Long Island man, 21, charged with killing teen outside NYC bar walks free after admitting it
"He inflicted the fatal blow, a fatal wound in the center of his chest that ripped through his rib cage and cut open his heart,"
"I was afraid that they would get me to the floor, stomp me, kill me, hit me with the bottle that I had seen before,"
"beating the crap out of him."
"Where's my brother! Where's my f-king brother!"
Gianluca Bordone, 21, was found not guilty of manslaughter and assault after a Manhattan jury accepted his claim of self-defense. The killing occurred outside the Live Axe nightclub in TriBeCa the night before Thanksgiving 2023, when Bordone plunged a pocket knife into 17-year-old Rocco Rodden's chest. Prosecutors described a fatal wound that ripped through Rodden's rib cage and cut open his heart. Bordone's attorney said video would show Rodden's group chased and attacked Bordone. Bordone testified that he feared being stomped, killed, or struck with a bottle. The trial included testimony from Rodden's family and emotional police bodycam footage.
