A 67-year-old man was taken to hospital after being stabbed near A3 in New Malden; police arrested a man in his 20s on suspicion of attempted murder.

I lost him in the most tragic and senseless way imaginable. No mother or parent should ever go through this heartbreaking loss. My family is completely shattered and broken as we grieve his loss and try to pick up the pieces.

This is a complex and serious incident. We keep an open-mind for the motive, however it is believed that the victim and offenders were not known to each other.

Durham police are seeking witnesses following a stabbing incident in Ajax involving a 16-year-old boy, who is currently in critical but stable condition.
