In basketball, senior Noelle Polanco made headlines by becoming Fontbonne Hall Academy's all-time leading scorer, surpassing 1,500 points and continuing her athletic legacy as she prepares for college basketball.
Both teams finished unblemished during the regular season - and through the first five matches it was Petrides with a 15-12 lead with a pair of early pinfalls and a major decision win by Bradley Munoz.
When Kaydren Mauras won his 170-pound bout by a third-round pinfall, it secured James Madison the 2A title, as they would split the last two bouts of the day to claim a 48-21 victory.
As for Eagle Academy II, the win was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record to 18-4. Eagle Academy II, with a seven-game streak of away wins, were set to face off against Bowne Friday.
Noelle Polanco, a Fontbonne Hall Academy senior, has surpassed 1,500 career points and is the all-time leading scorer in school history.
