After the Pacers' victory over the Knicks, Jarace Walker was seen on crutches due to a right ankle injury. Coach Rick Carlisle expressed uncertainty about Walker's availability for the upcoming NBA Finals. The injury occurred during the fourth quarter while Walker was defending, resulting in an awkward fall. Despite limited play in the Knicks series, Walker's performance in Game 6 included two points. He will have four days to recover ahead of Game 1 at Oklahoma City.
Walker was injured early in the fourth quarter while defending a drive. His right leg appeared to bend awkwardly, and he stayed down for two more possessions before crawling off the court.
Coach Rick Carlisle remarked, 'He's young so that's good...when a guy goes down and stays down like that, you're always holding your breath.'
Walker did not return. He did not play much in the Knicks series but he made his only shot Saturday, finishing with two points in seven minutes.
Walker will have four full days to recover with Game 1 set for Thursday night at Oklahoma City.
