"Bo Bichette and the New York Mets agreed Friday to a $126 million US, three-year contract, two people familiar with the negotiations told The Associated Press. Sources also confirmed to ESPN of the agreement. The people spoke to the AP on condition of anonymity because the deal was subject to a successful physical. CBC Sports has not independently confirmed the reports."

A two-time All-Star shortstop, Bichette hit 18 home runs and 94 RBIs for the Blue Jays in 2025. He homered off Shohei Ohtani in Game 7 of the World Series."
Bo Bichette signed a three-year, $126 million contract with the New York Mets and can opt out after the first and second seasons. He would receive $47 million for one year and $89 million for two years. The contract contains no deferred money and includes a full no-trade provision. Bichette is a two-time All-Star who hit .311 with 18 home runs and 94 RBIs in 2025 and homered off Shohei Ohtani in Game 7 of the World Series. He missed time after a Sept. 6 collision with Yankees catcher Austin Wells but returned for the World Series. Bichette turns 28 in March, has a career .294 average with 111 home runs and 437 RBIs in 748 games, and had spent his entire career with the Blue Jays since being drafted in 2018.
