"As breakthroughs in neuroscience, psychiatry and brain health increasingly shape public understanding of health and well-being, journalists are being asked to translate complex scientific research into reporting that is accurate, nuanced and accessible. The fellowship aims to equip journalists with the tools, confidence and support needed to responsibly cover some of the most important and rapidly evolving stories in public life."
"“Brain health and scientific research are influencing everything from public policy and healthcare to how people understand aging, disability and overall well-being,” said Kerwin Speight, faculty lead for the fellowship at Poynter. “Journalists need deeper support to cover these issues with clarity, accuracy and humanity. This fellowship is designed to give reporters direct access to experts, practical guidance and a trusted community that strengthens their work long after the program ends.”"
