In our study, we discovered that T cell clones reappear in nasal polyps, indicating that T cell memory may play a crucial role in their recurrence.
Analysis revealed that while individual TCR repertoires were distinct among patients, shared TCR chains were consistently found in samples obtained from the same patient across surgeries.
The presence of common TCRα and TCRβ chains in NP tissues from repeat surgeries suggests that specific T cells recolonize the tissue during disease recurrence.
Dominant persistent clones were noted in both surgical samples, indicating ongoing local proliferation and expansion of T cell lineages in nasal polyps.
