Robert Charles Bertero, who passed away at his home in Richmond after battling early onset Parkinson's disease for nearly 20 years, was remembered for his humor and spirit.
Robert was born to Argentinean immigrants and was the first of six children born in the U.S. He dedicated his life to serving the Berkeley community as a firefighter.
Known for his love of sports, fitness, and motorcycling, Robert’s passion for life and mischievous nature left a lasting impression on those around him.
His family invites donations to the Michael J. Fox Foundation, honoring Robert's legacy and contributing to the fight against Parkinson's Disease.
