Study: A key ocean current is holding strong, despite a predicted slowdown

In our study, we found that after correcting for the magnetic field shift, the Florida Current has remained remarkably stable over the past four decades, challenging previous findings of a slowing trend.
Our analysis highlights the importance of accurate data interpretation in understanding ocean currents, as incorrect adjustments can lead to misleading conclusions about the health of the AMOC.
