'If you post bath time pictures of your kids, you're the problem' - parenting expert on social media predators
""If you're still posting naked, semi-naked, bath time or potty-training photos of your child online in 2025, in the age of AI, you are a very naïve and uninformed parent," a leading child safety expert Sarah Adams has said."
"The founder of Mom Uncharted, a child safety resource with hundreds of thousands of followers online, warns that 'sharenting' - posting children's photos and personal information on social media - is putting kids at risk from predators, as illegal child sex networks and online grooming continue to grow."
Predators are present on social media and can exploit publicly posted images and information about children. Posting naked, semi-naked, bath time, or potty-training photos increases exposure to exploitation, especially given advances in AI. Sharenting—sharing children's photos and personal information—creates searchable and shareable records that can be used by illegal child sex networks and groomers. Online grooming and illicit networks are continuing to grow, increasing risk. Parents who publish intimate or identifying content about children can inadvertently place those children at direct risk from predators.
