'Old-school' Octomom has banned her 8 16-year-olds from smartphones, social media: 'Very strict'
Briefly

Nadya Suleman, known as "Octomom," stresses the importance of discipline and structure in raising her 14 children. Previously permissive, she feels she failed to apply her child development knowledge effectively with her older kids. As a response, she now implements consistent rules and expectations for the octuplets, who turned 16, including no dating until 18 and limiting phone access. Suleman reflects on her parenting evolution, prioritizing unconditional love alongside necessary discipline to foster kindness and responsibility in her children.
"I raised them just permissive, which is wrong. You shouldn't do that. You should implement consistent structure, discipline and consequences, plus love, unconditional love and acceptance," she admitted to the outlet.
"With Elijah, then Amerah, and then Josh, and then Aidan, and then the twins, I kept going to school," she recalled about being at Cal State Fullerton after welcoming six children, also via IVF.
