French fundraiser offers chance to win piece of Notre-Dame
Briefly

La Fondation du Patrimoine is organizing a competition, awarding fifty damaged limestone cubes, remnants from Notre Dame's restoration, to donors who contribute at least €40. The contest runs from April 7th to 11th, with participants eligible until April 4th. The stones, which are too damaged for restoration efforts, are meant to raise awareness of the importance of preserving religious heritage in France, where thousands of buildings require urgent attention. The initiative aims to remind everyone that even small contributions can significantly impact these cultural treasures.
Fifty limestone cubes, each measuring seven centimetres by seven centimetres and weighing nearly 800 grammes, will be awarded to winners drawn at random between April 7th and 11th.
Each participant has until April 4th to make a donation of at least €40 through the organisation's website to help save France's religious heritage.
La Fondation du Patrimoine said the stones were too damaged to use in the restoration effort, highlighting the need for preservation of religious heritage.
With this competition, we want to remind people that every donation counts in preserving these treasures of religious heritage.
