Fetid LI home had dead cats in freezer, dead kittens in boxes - and even seasoned rescuers were gagging at the stench
Briefly

Authorities discovered a gruesome scene in a Bohemia home, where two dozen deceased cats were found in the freezer, and others, including sick kittens, were stashed in cat food boxes. Animal rescue workers faced overwhelming conditions, with an abhorrent stench and more than fifty live cats present. Many of the cats required urgent veterinary care, with some even needing euthanasia, highlighting a severe case of animal neglect that shocked responders and neighbors alike.
