Briefly

Sally Elena Milota shares, "These photographs belong to my book project 'Always At Your Back' which explores the foundational bonds of childhood. What does a safe place feel like? Mother's lap, Dad's shoulders, grandmother's arms or lying next to someone you love. It's about having a safe space to grow, to learn, to rest, to be brave, to fight for something and to have faith. It is an ongoing exploration of childhood bonds and how they form the world around our children, the foundation for becoming strong individuals."
Milota’s work encapsulates the essence of safe spaces, noting, "It's about having a safe space to grow, to learn, to rest, to be brave... the foundational bonds of childhood ensure our children develop strength for life."
