Forgotten fashions: rediscovered slides show off everyday flair from the Fifties and beyond
Briefly

Lee Shulman's journey began with an impulsive eBay purchase of vintage slides, which ignited a passion for preserving everyday moments from the past. His project, The Anonymous Project, now encompasses over 1 million slides, 14 publications, and numerous international exhibitions, representing the world's largest private collection of amateur Kodachrome color slides. Shulman's excitement remains palpable as he continues to receive donations of slides, capturing hidden emotional moments and everyday life. His meticulous theming and sorting efforts reflect his dedication to uncovering history and emotions in these seemingly ordinary but profound images.
Beyond the impeccable quality of each image, these were glimpses at everyday moments from everyday lives long since lost, now represented in Shulman's vast archive.
I still open a box thinking: what's going to be in there? And sometimes it's magic, sometimes it's terrible, and that keeps me going.
